Jessie & Jason: Day After11.18.10

Jessie and Jason love the outdoors and they love Colorado. So, when the time came for their day after session they knew the backdrop of the Colorado mountains was in order.

Honestly… it doesn’t get any better than this. How can you not fall in love with Colorado in the fall?

An & Viet: Day After Session08.31.10

We didn’t shoot their wedding, but I wish we had. An and Viet are some of the coolest people we’ve met. Here are a few highlights from their Day After Session.

Yeah… these two are HOT! Oh, and the last few frames are shot on film with a Nikonos underwater camera.

Happy Tuesday!

Getting out of our comfort zone…05.18.10

In the mid-1800′s Cheeseman Park was a cemetery. It was a segregated cemetery for different ethnic and religious groups. The history says that when they found out that the land was federal land they sold it to the city of Denver for $200.

When the cemetery started to become an eyesore for the city they realized the land should be converted into a park. Some people were able to move their family members and others were not. They say that they land is haunted by the remains that were never removed.

With all of the history and urban legends around Cheeseman Park, we knew there wasn’t a better place to shoot a beautiful black wedding gown. A black gown is risky. But… I also think that they scream high-fashion…. they are all about taking chances.

It gets you out of your comfort zone. And since this year it all about Adam and I getting out of our comfort zone and taking chances with our photography, this was a perfect fit.

Shantell & Robert: New Orleans Day After12.31.09

When Shantell was growing up in Louisiana she would day dream about getting married. In her dream she would be walking down an oak alley with her husband. She grew up minutes away from one of the prettiest and oldest plantations in Louisiana. Her dream came true. After Shantell and Robert’s wedding in Etses Park we all headed down to New Orleans for their down home wedding celebration.

Over the course of 3 days we hung out with Shantell, Robert, and their family. As they let their guards down Adam and I were able to see a different side of New Orleans. We saw where Shantell grew up and where she went to school. We were able to shoot in places where most people would not be able too. We became a part of Shantell’s and Robert’s family. This was the perfect end to a perfect year.

Thank you Shantell and Robert…
