Many many more to come soon…
This year has been a whirlwind. With weddings nearly every weekend since April, Imthiaz and I have barely had a second to breathe. And. The few weekends we did have free I had the unique pleasure of being invited to second shoot weddings with world class photographers Erik Clausen, Preston Utley, and Shari DeAngelo, all of whom I am proud to call friends. Thanks for the invite y’all and letting me just be me and go hunting. Here is a small sample from a few of the weddings.
Every wedding holds a special place in our hearts, but, Kara and Andy’s wedding will always be seared on our brains as one of the most memorable we have witnessed. Kara found us many moons ago when she was helping a friend find a wedding photographer, and as luck would have it, she started following our blog from Washington D.C.
Like many couples Kara and Andy met at work. Everyday he would ask her to come to his desk and help him with Excel documents. What Kara didn’t realize was that Andy knew how to work with Excel quite well, he really just wanted to talk to her. They started dating and he asked her to move-in (that’s when she won a contest on our blog).
I remember her email like it was yesterday… Well, it turns out Andy not only wants me to sleep beside him every night, now he also wants to get married! Celebrating with their family was one of the best times we’ve had as wedding photographers. We not only walked away feeling like we are a part of their family, but we walked away feeling like we have known all of their friends for years. We can’t wait until the next time we get to hang out 😉
We are also very excited Megan, with Glamour and Grace was kind enough to feature Kara and Andy’s wedding on her blog today! So, make sure you go and read more about Kara’s planning and soak up some more awesomeness from their weekend!
