We thought it was only fitting to do today’s post with Olivia and Adam in mind. Their wedding was a blast and to be honest we walked away from it feeling like we were on the set of Glee.
They danced. They sung and then they danced some more. We have the full post coming very soon. So hang tight and enjoy a little eye candy from their crazy reception.

It all started with an email on our way back from our mini-spring break trip to Seattle. The email kind of had me at a loss for words. We had been invited to join Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book. Getting into the Little Black Book is like getting into the Wedding Photojournalist Association. You apply and then wait. And you wait. Sometimes it takes several applications before your accepted. But, when you are accepted it feels good. We are among a select group of people that are a part of the Little Black Community. Several of the members in Colorado have made appearances on our blog. We are very happy and excited to now be a part of the group!
Then it happened… a few weeks later we got another email. This time from Junebug Weddings. We had heard through the grape vine they were putting together a list of the world’s best wedding photographers and we started swooning. We placed bets on who we thought would make the list. We never in a million years would have thought that we would be asked to join this exclusive list. I mean come on. This was Junebug Weddings we were talking about. Much like Style Me Pretty we love and admire these blogs. What they have done for the wedding industry is phenomenal. Many of the photographers on the list I follow on a regular basis. Many of them we are inspired by. To be apart of this list is amazing and we feel like we’re dreaming.
After the email from Junebug, two more emails came. We’re still trying to wrap our heads around all of this. We feel so lucky and blessed to be in an industry that thinks our work is so wonderful. So, this week we’ve been dancing a lot. We’ve been singing off key a lot. The one song that got us through the year was the Black Eye Peas, I’ve Got A Feeling. We LOVE this song. Even though this song makes its appearance at EVERY wedding now it’s okay, I still love it. It’s one of those feel good songs. In fact, last year this song was used in Kirsten and Mike’s slide show and Miriel and Josh’s slide show. It is going to be a good… good…. day. I think I’ll go buy a lottery ticket tonight.

Yesterday we hit a milestone. Zoe finished preschool. School’s out and summer has begun. In about 12 weeks we will have a kindergartner. I’m not really sure how I feel about that.
This year Zoe grew into a confident, beautiful little girl. She had her first marriage proposal, and found her best friend next door. She had her very first field trip to a farm (and we all know how that worked out ). Yesterday was the end of the year party and we all marked the occasion will cupcakes, fruit, and juice. This summer will be filled with new beginnings for Zoe. She will officially start playing golf, and going to dance class.
And since it is Friday and today is the day all about music. We put together a slide show from yesterday. Set to Joe Cocker’s cover of the Beatles song “With a Little Help from My Friends”.
