This summer will go down in history in the state of Washington. Washington had its first heat wave since the 1940’s and boy was it a hot one! Hardware stores and Home Improvement stores had lines around their respective buildings with people waiting for air conditioners. People slept in their backyards hoping for cooler weather during the night. Adam and I were hoping that when it came time for Amber and David’s lakeside wedding that the weather would cool down a bit.
It was a beautiful morning as Amber and David’s family and friends started getting ready for a big night of celebration. Some of them hung out on their boats during the day, others by the pool. As Amber and David got ready they grew anxious of the time and wished it would pass faster. David and his groomsmen made their way outside for photos only to turn around and go back inside 15 minutes later because it was so hot. Some of them even took their tuxedos off to take a second shower before the ceremony.
The sun beat down on the back lawn at the Alderbrook Resort and Spa as Amber and David’s guests slowly made their way to their seats. The music began and Amber started her walk down the aisle. We almost forgot how hot it was because Amber looked so stunning. Adam and I caught a small glimpse of the bond that makes up Amber and David as they said their vows. All the while their friends and family cried tears of joy.
Adam and I are so blessed to have been a part of Amber and David’s day. Friends and family opened their arms to us and shared stories of how perfect Amber and David are together. Their friends stick together no matter what, even if that means jumping into Anna’s Bay. Guests packed the dance floor and partied until the music was shut off and the lights were cranked up.
