Friday Night Dance Party

Today we’re inspired by our couples. That moment on the dance floor when no one is looking and you are in your own world. The stolen kiss and the passion. The celebration of the day, and love you have for one another. We captured this photo at Paris and Alex’s wedding. This has become one of my all-time favorites. No one is paying attention and you can see the love between the two of them. Its when we capture moments like this when we know that we have a very special job and we wouldn’t change it for the world.

Thank you for allowing us to document your lives.

Just another busy Thursday

Today might seem like a day of rambling, but then again maybe not. We have a few campaigns going on that we want to keep you up-to-date on. We believe our campaigns are important, and in this day and age we have to remember that people out there  need our help. We all seem to get caught up in life from time to time and sometimes we need to step back and look at things just a little bit differently. We have been continuing our Feeding America campaign because people in our own backyard need us too. Since our last update we were at a grand total of 39 comments. Now we are at 75! With the 36 comments we have received we (including you) will be able to provide 144 meals to families in need. We are SO close to hitting 100, we can’t stop now. We are in the homestretch, just 25 more comments. Faithful blog readers… I know you can get us there. Let’s blow the last 25 comments out of the water. Are you in?

I have been so moved recently by the events in Haiti and how the world is coming together to help a country in need. I was especially moved when you, our readers, stepped up and bought a piece of art. As you may know we are selling a print for Haiti. We are only producing 5 prints and the proceeds will go to the American Red Cross. As of today there will only be 3 more prints that will be produced. Yeah, that’s right, only 3 more. Your compassion, your loyalty, your desire, and generosity has paid off. We have already shipped 2 10×20 mounted prints of Longs Peak to 2 amazing people. If you are interested in one of the other 3 remaining prints make sure you donate and email us with the shipping address.

Wedding Chicks is such a great resource for brides. We have featured Amber and David’s Seattle wedding under the Real Weddings tab. Make sure you go and check it out along with all of the other wedding inspiration ideas!

Aubrie and Sarah from Blue Bridal Couture were guest bloggers on a new wedding website. Lucy Dylan Weddings is a wedding inspiration website focused on Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. It is a great post about things to keep in mind when shopping for your gown. A few of our photos were featured in the blog post, so make sure you go and check it out!

Happy Thursday! :)

Sometimes its okay to spoil her…

That day we didn’t get in our team huddle and get pumped up for our wedding. We didn’t make our normal stop at Jimmy John’s for some refueling. We didn’t have our normal pep talk with Zoe about how she needed to be good for Jessica (our nanny). That day we headed downstairs to the hotel lobby at the Stanley hotel with Zoe and spoiled her just a little. We got her some ice cream and got her all hopped up on sugar before Robert and Shantell’s Colorado wedding.

She was so excited. She couldn’t believe that mommy and daddy were going to get her ice cream for breakfast. Once you get to know Zoe, you will see she is a total ham. She likes to play shy, but its really just an act. Here is a series we had forgotten all about until yesterday. You can see her excitement and personality really come out. Well… it wasn’t all fun and excitement…. I decided it would be funny to stick her face in the ice cream. I know… it was mean, but it was so funny! She tried so hard to get mad and it was really cute. Here’s a little look into our life moments before a big wedding…

A Day at the Farm

Sometimes we get caught up in life, the craziness of it all, and forget about the little things… like family. Adam and I feel very blessed to have a career which allows us to spend a lot of time with Zoe. Everyday we get up and go to the office to process photos and design albums. We make sure she has food on the table and a roof over her head.

When she wanted us to have a family day at the farm for her class field trip we were all about it. She had this daydream of what she thought the farm would be like. She would play with little chicks, ducks and cute little potbelly pigs. She thought it would be cute,  fun, and something like Charlotte’s Web. Boy, was she wrong.

She wasn’t the first one to cry and she certainly wasn’t the last. Our family fun day was full of some unusual drama from all the kids. Their teacher was laughing hysterically at the amount of drama some of the kids were bringing. It was muddy, wet, cold, and really smelly. You couldn’t do anything but laugh at all the kids. Their dream of the pretty little farm quickly went away when they realized movies are not always realistic. We will always remember that day as one of the funniest and enjoyable days with Zoe. Although she may only remember the awful smell when she saw the pigs, and the “dirty” farm as she puts it, she will always remember our family day on her field trip. She actually may look back on this day and laugh, maybe not soon, but one day. This is what life is supposed to be about, the little things.
