Sneak Peek: Somthing Different05.26.10
Do you ever sit there and wonder to yourself “how can I do something different?” Everyday Adam and I ask ourselves that very question. We also wonder how we can shoot differently or try new things. We wanted this year to be about trying different things and getting out of our comfort zone.
We just got back from an amazing shoot and couldn’t help but share a little something with you. Stayed tuned for more.

Wei & Vicky: Colorado Wedding05.21.10
As the clock ticked away the seconds Wei and Vicky knew they had an amazing day. When the clock struck 8 p.m. Wei grabbed the microphone. He thanked everyone for coming to celebrate their wedding. As he thanked everyone he told them the wedding was over and to go enjoy the rest of their weekend. As he got blank stares from everyone at Pinehurst Country Club you could hear a pin drop. He went on to say that they would be continuing the celebration at the Gaslamp in Downtown Denver for those who wanted to join them. It was unheard of. Wei and Vicky’s guests didn’t know what to think. They had never been to a wedding that was over at 8 p.m.
This is what Wei and Vicky do. They care so deeply about their friends and family that they put their needs first. Rather than spending all night on the traditional wedding reception rituals, they decided to get them done quickly and let their guest go enjoy the rest of the weekend. They are so generous and kind. Their deep appreciation for life and love carries over into their daily lives. They want everyone to have a great time and they want everyone to feel welcome. Their laughs are contagious. Just being around them you feel like a better person.
They are really great people. Enjoy the highlights…

Because there were so many amazing moments at this wedding we just had to put together a slide show from Wei and Vicky’s wedding. Make sure you check it out!

Getting out of our comfort zone…05.18.10
In the mid-1800′s Cheeseman Park was a cemetery. It was a segregated cemetery for different ethnic and religious groups. The history says that when they found out that the land was federal land they sold it to the city of Denver for $200.
When the cemetery started to become an eyesore for the city they realized the land should be converted into a park. Some people were able to move their family members and others were not. They say that they land is haunted by the remains that were never removed.
With all of the history and urban legends around Cheeseman Park, we knew there wasn’t a better place to shoot a beautiful black wedding gown. A black gown is risky. But… I also think that they scream high-fashion…. they are all about taking chances.
It gets you out of your comfort zone. And since this year it all about Adam and I getting out of our comfort zone and taking chances with our photography, this was a perfect fit.
