Tara Keely Gowns & Zoe's Big Day11.30.09

She’s the first to sit down next to me when I go through wedding magazines. She always has a knack for picking out the prettiest, most stylist gowns and dresses. She is only 4 years old, but has a thing for fashion. She dresses herself and most days will pick out the most rockin’ outfit. I’ll admit some days its better than what I put together for her and its always better than what Adam puts together.

Zoe loves brides, weddings, and always asks her daddy who she will marry and if both Adam and I will walk her down the aisle. Zoe has only come on one other shoot with us because she begged for days, she quickly realized it was not very fun for her.

When we first started talking about Tara Keely’s new Spring 2010 line and making the final plans Zoe wanted to be involved. She asked about the models, the make-up artist, what the gowns looked like. Then she asked where the shoot was going to be. When I told her that we were doing it for Blue Bridal Couture, the boutique we walk by in the Denver Pavilions, she was instantly intrigued. We decided we would take her with us.

As models started to arrive, make-up was being applied, Zoe wanted in. First, she asked to wear a pretty dress. Not soon after she asked to dress up it was her turn for make-up. We knew then there was no turning back… Zoe made her modeling debut. Adam and I were so proud of our little girl, who decided the best way for her to be a part was to partner up with a model. Now she keeps asking when her next modeling assignment will be….

Thanksgiving11.26.09

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite Holidays. There is no pressure for anything, its just about family and friends. When Thanksgiving rolls around we soon have Black Friday and some might consider that a Holiday, or, maybe that’s just in my family. The end of the year is almost here and new couples and families come into our life. It makes Adam and I remember how lucky we are to do what we do.

We are thankful for the opportunities that are given to us. We are thankful for the couples we had this year that allowed us into their lives. Our success is because of our clients and for that we are very thankful. We are thankful for the team we have behind a.h.p, you give us so much support, love, and honest criticism. This year has been a whirlwind for us and we are still trying to wrap our heads around it. Thank you to all of our faithful blog readers. You have allowed Adam and I to share our work, our lives, and you still stick around.

Since today is all about family and friends and being thankful. It is the perfect day for a personal post. Adam and I will never forget one of the best road trips we have ever taken. New Orleans 2009 with little Houseman a.k.a. Zoe, a.k.a. Stinkybutt, a.k.a. peanut. This is the one day where Zoe let her guard down for just a few minutes and let us take her photograph. We are so thankful to have our little diva.

We decided to try something different this time with Zoe. Instead of pointing the big and bulky camera at her we used our little Leica C-Lux point and shoot.

Happy Thanksgiving, we wish all of you who celebrate it a safe and happy day. Adam and Imthiaz

Morna & Justin: Lifestyle Session11.24.09

They decided to take a trip and go tandem kayaking. They love the outdoors and traveling. They wanted to try something new and they thought it would be simple, fun, and adventurous. What they did not know was how hard tandem kayaking was. It tested their relationship and tested them as individuals.

Morna and Justin can laugh about their now infamous trip. They almost killed each other in the kayak, enjoyed the beach, and got engaged. Most of all they learned that they can make it through anything. They are each others rock and are definitely in it for the long haul. When they got back from the kayaking trip they figured the best way to celebrate their engagement, and the Hoilday’s, was with a Lifestyle session.

Morna and Justin, we are so glad you made it through your trip! We wish you a lifetime of adventure and fun, congratulations!

Blue Couture Trunk Show11.19.09

Its that warm feeling, that sincere, honest, friendly feeling you want. You want to feel pretty and special when you walk into your first bridal boutique. You want the ladies to be honest; like your sister, your mother or girlfriend. You are planning your wedding and you want everything to be perfect. The planning starts with the dress. You have dreamed about it for years… in your head. Now reality is here and you can plan it out loud.

You get that feeling walking into Blue. The ladies who work there bought their wedding gowns there. They know how you feel and what you are going through. They are kind, sweet, honest, and sincere. I really could go on for days about the ladies at Blue Couture Bridal. They love weddings, gowns, couture, and especially making women feel beautiful on their wedding day.

Adam and I had a bit of change of pace this past weekend. We woke up and there was snow on the ground. Well, that part is not unusual for Colorado this time of year. As we made coffee, and ate some breakfast we were greeted with emails from Aubrie and Sarah at Blue. We exchanged bad jokes and laughed as we emailed about the snow. Their fashion show was still on despite the weather.

It was a huge success, and we can not wait for them to do it again. Lori at Statice Floral provided the amazing flowers for the day. Thank you so much Aubrie and Sarah for letting Adam and I document your very first Blue fashion show! Make sure you check out Blue’s website for the latest happenings.

We also put together a slide show of Blue’s first annual fashion show featuring La Sposa and Casa Blanca Bridal gowns make sure you check it out! :)
