Julie & Will: Colorado Wedding (Part 2 of 2)09.30.09

Day two of Julie and Will’s wedding weekend was just as beautiful as the first day. Julie and Will opened the doors of their amazing home and invited their family and friends to celebrate their union. Pink Monkey Solutions did a stunning job on the lighting and decor. Julie, Will and their guests partied into the night dancing to the rocking Steve Manshel of Firefall.

It was an amazing wedding and Adam and I are so excited we were able to be a part of your weekend. We can’t wait to come over for a glass of wine and see your Italy photos!

Julie & Will: Colorado Wedding (Part 1 of 2)09.29.09

They love good wine. They love to travel. They love to entertain. They love being around family. They love each other, and they look beautiful together.  Julie and Will are always thinking of other people. No matter what happens they want to make sure that everyone around them are having a good time.

Their wedding weekend started off with an intimate ceremony at Gold Lake Mountain Resort. Surrounded by only their close family, Julie and Will exchanged vows with each other. Every aspect had Julie and Will written all over it, down to the “no ties allowed” rule for the entire weekend. We are very lucky to have been a part of their wonderful weekend.

Congratulations Julie and Will, we hope you had a fabulous time in Italy! Enjoy the highlights.

Kirsten & Mike: Telluride Wedding09.24.09

Kirsten and Mike are a fabulous couple from Seattle. When we first met them it was February. Snow was still on the ground and we talked and were inspired by the thoughts of a beautiful afternoon wedding surrounded by fall colors. We never thought about rain or snow, we all knew it was going to be perfect. When their weekend rolled around the aspen leaves were just starting to change, but the weather was very much like Seattle. Down pour rain welcomed their guests to Telluride.

Their family and friends came from all over, but this Seattle couple wondered why Colorado was having such odd weather. Planning began for a back-up ceremony location for the wedding day. All of the Colorado residents instantly became experts in weather trying to reassure Kirsten and Mike it would not rain all day like it did the night before. The morning started out perfect, skies were blue with very few clouds. As the clock ticked the clouds started billowing. It started to sprinkle…guests started to arrive…everyone was in place and then it happened.

It started to rain and everyone ran to Allreds. The beautiful ceremony under lift 7 was rained out. The staff scrambled to move tables while the wedding party and guests dried off. When it came down to it nothing was going to ruin Kirsten and Mike’s day. They were still going to get married and their family and friends were going to have a great time. Kirsten finally made her way down the aisle at a beautiful indoor wedding. Mike whispered jokes to her as she cried… the day couldn’t have been more perfect.

Words can not describe how Adam and I feel about Kirsten and Mike. You two are so amazing. After spending the weekend with you, your family, and friends, we know why you are the people you are. You are stunning and perfect for each other. You make Adam and I look like rock stars. We will never be able to thank you enough for letting us into your world. When we met back in February we knew this would be an amazing weekend. We never imagined how much detail and thought would go into every single aspect of your day. Kirsten and Mike you are simply amazing and we are so blessed that you came into our lives.

Thank you. Adam and Imthiaz

So Adam and I could not trim down this blog post to only 20 photos. Make sure that you check out the slideshow we put together. It is a bit long, however it tells the story the way it should be told.

Bringing MORE awards home & other BIG news!09.23.09

Adam and I woke up to a little surprise this morning. The latest Wedding Photojournalist Association results were in for quarter two. We are excited to say we brought home two more awards! There are some amazing images this quarter and we are so proud to be a part of an elite group of photographers. If you have a chance make sure you check out all of the latest WPJA winners.

5th place for Ring Details was from Peter & Katherine’s wedding:

7th place for Emotion went to Amanda & Dave:

This came at the perfect time for us to make a big announcement. We were driving home from Telluride this weekend talking about our spectacular year. We have been fortunate to have had some amazing clients and weddings this year. Officially we have 8 more weddings for this season. We realized we have become workaholics, but we love what we do and everyday we realize how lucky we are to be doing what we love. This summer also allowed us to have our first family road trip and we LOVED it. There are so many exciting things in the pipeline for us and also a lot of changes. One big change will be our commissions. Commissions will know start at $4600.

After long debates and discussions we wanted to make sure that each and every client gets the attention they deserve. We will also be taking less weddings next year so that we can give our family the attention it deserves. We can not wait for what the future holds and where it will take us. We can not thank our clients enough for the opportunities that you have given us, thank you.

Happy Wednesday!
