She dropped down on both knees. She asked God to send her a good man, a man who when she saw him fireworks and sirens would go off. She prayed to God every night hoping she would find the right man who she would be able to spend the rest of her life with.

Shantell is a science teacher and two years ago her principal pushed her into going to a teaching conference in Washington D.C. The night they got there they were going to have a girls night out. Shantell made it down to the lobby, she was all dressed and ready for a night on the town when she first saw Robert. Her heart literally skipped a beat. She continued her night on the town, but couldn’t stop thinking of the man she saw in the lobby.

The next day she saw him again coming off the elevator, they smiled at each other and went about their day. Shantell was going back down to the lobby again after seeing this mysterious man twice. She quietly asked God in the back of the elevator to show her a sign. She said if he is the man sirens will go off and he will be waiting at the bottom of the elevator. As she walked off the elevator sirens did in fact go off, they evacuated the hotel and Shantell ran into Robert again.

They finally talked to each other and realized it really was fate that brought them together. Robert is also a teacher and high school football coach. He was not supposed to go to the conference that year. In fact, Robert was not even staying at the hotel were Shantell was staying. They have been together ever since and this November they will marry at Saint Malo Allenspark, CO for a small destination wedding.

Adam and I tagged along with Shantel and Robert when they came into Denver last week to finalize some details on the wedding. We headed up to Saint Malo with them and were able to have a little sneak peek into their life. We are so excited to be a part of their day. Congrats Shantell and Robert!
